Jack xxxxxx,
I know these are trying times for many of us. This virus has taken a toll on our livelihood and our peace of mind. In an effort to keep the constituents of TX-24 informed and prepared, here are some helpful resources for you and your loved ones if you are in need:
1st: Here is the latest on Texas' Coronavirus response: http://bit.ly/3beMCkJ
Governor Abbott has finally declared a Public Health Disaster. He's ordered the closing of restaurants, gyms, and bars statewide (with the exception of take-out) and advises against gatherings of more than ten people.
2nd: Generally, Texas workers who have been laid off or are working reduced hours through no fault of their own, may be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits. Find out more about your eligibility here: https://www.texasaflcio.org/unemployment-insurance-guide
3rd: The SBA provides low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters. Find out more and apply for assistance here: https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance
4th: If you or a loved one has any questions about getting tested for COVID-19, please visit this link to become better informed about testing in Texas: https://www.texastribune.org/…/18/coronavirus-testing-Texas/
Lastly, my team is here to help wherever we can. Do not hesitate to contact my staff at http://Kimforcongress.org if you have any additional questions or require some assistance. We are here to help.
God bless you all,
Kim Olson
Kim Olson is a farmer, combat veteran, and champion for education. After 25 years in the Air Force, Kim served three years in the Texas State Guard and started a non-profit to help women veterans. Now, she's taking on our broken Congress and running to represent TX-24.
