The Humane Society of the United States’ undercover investigation at Sloth Encounters in New York revealed SHOCKING mistreatment of sloths, capybaras and a kangaroo. While at the facility, our investigator witnessed sloths fighting in crowded conditions and being hit with a spray bottle by staff while other sloths were used for public interactions.
The animals being exploited by Sloth Encounters deserve so much better! Tell Congress to pass the Better CARE for Animals Act to protect these animals and others like them. [[link removed]]

Not only does Sloth Encounters force animals to interact with customers, they also fail to provide them with adequate care. HSUS’s investigator observed animals being kept in barren and cramped enclosures, unable to express healthy, natural behaviors. The Better CARE for Animals Act will allow federal agencies to better enforce the standards of the Animal Welfare Act and ensure that facilities like Sloth Encounters are held accountable.
