** Registration Opens for 2024 CBTU Conference
------------------------------------------------------------
Registration is now open for our 2024 conference! Take advantage of Early Bird Registration and secure your spot at our conference, which will take place Sunday April 28 to Tuesday April 30 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel in Gatineau, Quebec. We will host a ceremony on the National Day of Mourning on Sunday April 28 at 11am in Major's Hill Park in Ottawa.

This year's conference theme is Training a Safe, Skilled Workforce. Our theme highlights the value Building Trades workers bring to work, each and every day. Our workforce is world-class when it comes to training and safety - two of the cornerstones of a Building Trades education.

We look forward to seeing you there for an exciting program of workshops, guest speakers, a Parliamentary reception, panels, and more!

** Building It Green
------------------------------------------------------------
CBTU's Building it Green program is setting out to increase the unionized construction industry's climate knowledge with a training initiative focused on the role of the skilled trades in addressing and adapting to climate change. Many skilled tradespeople already make positive climate impacts trhough their day-to-day work. Over the holidays, Building it Green was highlighted in this article from the National Observer ([link removed]) . Building it Green will hold several events in 2024 - stay tuned for more updates.


** In The Trades

Join the ranks of our participating contractors and seize access to these incredible financial and training opportunities through CBTU’s In The Trades Apprenticeship Program! This funding allows unionized contractors to secure funding and support for their businesses.

Les inscriptions sont ouvertes pour notre conférence de 2024 ! Profitez de l'inscription anticipée et assurez votre place à notre conférence, qui aura lieu du dimanche 28 avril au mardi 30 avril à l'hôtel Hilton Lac-Leamy à Gatineau, Québec. Nous organiserons une cérémonie à l'occasion du Jour de deuil national le dimanche 28 avril à 11 heures au parc Major's Hill à Ottawa.

Le thème de la conférence de cette année est Former une main-d'œuvre qualifiée et sécuritaire. Notre thème souligne la valeur que les travailleurs des métiers de la construction apportent au travail, chaque jour. Notre main-d'œuvre est de classe mondiale lorsqu'il s'agit de formation et de sécurité - deux des éléments les plus importants d'une formation dans les métiers de la construction.

** Bâtir en vert
------------------------------------------------------------
Le programme Bâtir en vert de la SMCC vise à accroître les connaissances du secteur syndiqué de la construction en matière de climat grâce à une initiative de formation axée sur le rôle des métiers spécialisés dans la lutte contre le changement climatique et l'adaptation à celui-ci. De nombreux ouvriers qualifiés ont déjà un impact positif sur le climat dans le cadre de leur travail quotidien. Pendant les vacances, Bâtir en vert a été mis en avant dans cet article du National Observer ([link removed]) . Bâtir en vert organisera plusieurs événements en 2024 - restez à l'écoute pour plus de mises à jour.

Rejoignez nos entrepreneurs participants et accédez à ces incroyables opportunités de financement et de formation grâce au programme d'apprentissage Dans les métiers de la SMCC ! Ce financement permet aux entrepreneurs syndiqués d'obtenir des fonds et un soutien pour leurs entreprises.
