Here’s an important update as we enter this primary campaign’s homestretch. My campaign is making our first big expenditure on TV this week with a new ad.

So far, the support from this team has been remarkable. We’re building the largest grassroots campaign California has ever seen — and it wouldn’t be possible without you.

But listen, I want to make a really big push with our new ad. Voting begins in just a few weeks, and voters are making up their minds right now — with celebrity Republican candidate Steve Garvey surging in the poll.

That’s why I’m asking my team to increase our buy. Any amount of money — and I mean any amount — this email raises will be tacked onto our TV budget.

I’m hoping I can count on you again, John. My team says a really exceptional email generates about 1,000 contributions — I’m hoping we can make it 2,000.
