John, The number one concern of officials right now should be the health and safety of our communities — especially when it comes down to them casting their ballots. Voting needs to be safe and accessible for everyone, but right now 17% of Americans are not able to register online due to state laws. In a public health crisis like we’re facing, that’s unacceptable. Every American needs to be able to safely register for November’s general election online. Add your name to make sure our democracy is able to tackle the challenges of today. Together the population of these 10 states means that 1 in 6 Americans won’t be able to register for November’s election if their in-person opportunities are limited by the pandemic. That is going to disproportionately hurt poor and minority communities where Republican voter suppression has already lowered registration. Places like Texas and South Dakota have a history of voter purges — in a crisis like this, that’s damaging to public health. We are facing an unprecedented threat. These states need to allow online voter registration for the safety of their citizens, and if they don’t act Congress needs to step in. Add your name if you agree. Thanks for your help, The Majority Rules Team
