Friend,
I was raised to never cower down to a bully.
To never let someone else define who you are.
And to never, EVER give up.
Growing up the kid of a firefighter, you learn pretty quickly that you are only as good as the team around you.
And when you are running into a burning building, you have to be able to count on the men and women by your side to know that they have your back, and are just as invested in getting the job done as you are.
That’s the same mentality that I am bringing to the House of Representatives. And as the newly-elected Speaker, I am working overtime to ensure that I have a team of reliable, steadfast conservatives who will push forward and fight with all that they have to maintain and grow our Republican House majority.
Let me lay the groundwork: Right now, Republicans have the thinnest of majorities in the House. And the Democrat Machine smells blood in the water.
They think we are weak. That we are vulnerable. That we are ineffective.
But they’ve got it all wrong.
While they are spending their time pointing fingers and poking fun, House Republican leadership is putting our heads down and getting to work for the American people — to ensure that our conservative majority stays intact.
And we’d love to have you on our team, Friend.
Look, I’m not the kind of leader to scream into the void and use scare tactics to try and force a donation from you. I know times are tough.
But I am the kind of leader to tell you the truth — the whole truth.
And the truth is, if we as conservatives don’t start putting up serious fundraising numbers, you’ll be referring to a radical leftist as Speaker this time next year.
So, as I said at the beginning. I’ve never been one to cower to a bully, allow others to define me, or back down from a fight.
And I'm not going to start now.
Serving as Speaker of the House is the honor of a lifetime — and it would be an honor to know that I have earned your support as well.
