Save the date for Light Night
Fri 2 & Sat 3 February City Centre
Nottingham Light Night returns this February for its 16th year.
Illuminate your imagination as you explore the city centre, from Old Market Square to Binks Yard, and from Sneinton Market to Nottingham Castle. You can see over 30 immersive and interactive light-based installations, performances and activities after dark.
Whether you’re an arts and culture enthusiast, looking for a free family trip out, or want to get the perfect shot for Instagram, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Light Night is produced by Nottingham City Council and It’s in Nottingham – the city’s business improvement district. The event is funded by It’s in Nottingham, the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cultural organisations across the city also support the event.
Volunteer for Light Night
Are you interested in volunteering at Light Night? You need to have a good knowledge of Nottingham city centre to help with wayfinding, and be confident in engaging with and talking to people. The application deadline is Friday 26 January.
Jazz in January
Sat 20 January Wollaton Hall
As part of a brand new experience, Wollaton Hall will be hosting a one-hour 'Jazz in January' concert in the Great Hall, with the Shipstone Street Jazz Orchestra.
The band plays swing and latin from the 1930s to the 1990s.
The concert starts at 2.30pm and tickets are ÂŁ5 per person.

Just the Tonic Comedy Club

Just the Tonic brings the comedy, Metronome serves the drinks, you bring the laughter and cheer!
Described by many comedians as one of the best comedy venues in the country, and with Just the Tonic’s notorious reputation for the best comedy line-ups in the country, you can be sure you are getting one of the best nights in town.
Book for the early show (7pm) or late show (9pm) with a line-up including Phil Ellis, Joseph Emslie, Tom Wrigglesworth and Darrell Martin.
Pierce The Veil

The platinum-selling powerhouse Pierce The Veil will be embarking on their biggest ever UK and Europe arena tour this spring.
Combining elements of post-hardcore, emo-punk and progressive rock, Pierce The Veil burst onto the scene in the late 2000s.
For the Jaws of Life tour they're joined by special guests Dayseeker and Holding Absence.
Beat The Streets

Beat The Streets is back for 2024 and will be bringing tons of top Nottingham artists to all your favourite city centre venues once again.
The first wave of artists has recently been announced, including Panchiko, G!RLBAND, THePETEBOX, Chloe Rodgers, ROB.GREEN, Alfie Sharp and loads more.Â
As always with Beat The Streets, all proceeds from ticket sales, bar sales and merchandise will be going directly towards Framework's important work improving the lives of homeless people in Nottingham.
