Out of all of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s countless lowlights (moments where she showed her lack of empathy, disdain for her constituents/fellow human beings, and showed her true colors) her darkest and most repulsive moment was what she said about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar two years ago.

While speaking to supporters in her old district (she’s now moving halfway across the state in an attempt to save her campaign) Boebert recounted a story, in which she saw Congresswoman Omar in an elevator and called her a member of the “Jihad Squad” to her face, going on to say that she told an aide, “She doesn’t have a backpack, she wasn’t dropping it and running, so we’re good” implying that Omar was carrying a bomb.

Boebert’s remarks put Ilhan Omar’s life in danger and caused her and her family to receive death threats.

As someone with experience fighting real Al-Qaeda jihadists in Iraq, I know what jihadism and the ideology of radical-islam look like, and to tie a sitting US Congresswoman to that ideology is disgusting and beyond the pale.

Ironically, Boebert’s ideology of hatred and intolerance is not all that different from the extremist worldviews of groups like ISIS or Al-Qaeda.

In 2023, with incidents of Islamophobia up more than 172% from previous years we cannot afford to have a member stoking the flames of hatred and making this insidious problem even worse. Boebert and her extremist ideology of hatred need to go before something terrible happens.

When elected to Congress I will fight against hatred and intolerance with the same vigor as when I fought for our country as a Force Recon Marine. Can you chip in $25 or whatever you can afford to help me defeat end Boebert’s reign of hate? ([link removed])
