MARCH 31, 2023 — On the very last day of our first fundraising quarter of 2023, national insiders controlling Josh Hawley’s joint committee with the National Republican Senatorial Committee transferred $250,000 directly to Hawley’s campaign.
They saw our movement to elect Lucas Kunce and take back power for working people gaining momentum, and they knew they had to do something about it.
JULY 9, 2023 — After news broke that our grassroots campaign outraised Josh Hawley over the first six months of 2023, a handful of corporate elites and GOP mega-donors announced they launched a brand new Super PAC funded with more than $1 MILLION to prop up Hawley and tear down Lucas.
OCTOBER 15, 2023 — Once Hawley submitted his third quarter fundraising numbers to the Federal Election Commission, we learned that national Republicans ramped up their support for Hawley by transferring another $500,000 directly into his campaign.
Just a few weeks later, Morning Consult released their latest approval polling that showed Hawley remains the least popular, most vulnerable GOP U.S. Senator running for re-election in 2024 — with approval numbers even lower than Ted Cruz in Texas and Rick Scott in Florida!
NOW — We’re waiting for Hawley’s year-end FEC filing to see exactly how much those national insiders and corporate mega-donors sank into our race last year.
Multiple recent polls have found Hawley in a margin-of-error race with Lucas Kunce — and that, combined with Hawley’s abysmal approval ratings and stunted fundraising, means there is no doubt they’ll continue spending BIG to bail Hawley out.
