Hi John, Like many people around the world, we were spooked as the intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic increased over the last couple of weeks. Our team took a moment to digest the news, but we quickly shifted our attention to how we could best serve LGBTQ+ youth during this unusual situation. We may be required to isolate physically, but the digital world is our domain. The It Gets Better Project will continue to do everything in its power to bring folks together, honor the collective human experience, and serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all LGBTQ+ young people during this challenging time. In the weeks ahead, we'll be sharing stories from around the world curated to lift your spirits and provide a break from the headlines. We want to shine a light on the queer heroes who will be born out of this moment — heroes like Richard Ayoub, who is working around the clock to ensure members of the LGBTQ+ community impacted by serious illness are getting healthy meals during this crisis. Who is going above and beyond and making a difference right now? Maybe it's you, maybe it's someone you know. Help us tell their story! Nominate a queer hero to the It Gets Better Project -- we’d love to share that story with the world. Never forget that we are so much better together, even if we can’t physically share the same space. Please take care of yourself, and know that the It Gets Better Project is here at your side no matter the circumstances — from now until we live in a world where all LGBTQ+ young people are free to live equally and know their worthiness and power as individuals. Stay proud, Brian Wenke The It Gets Better Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.
