2023 Supporter Impact Report: Turkey and Syria

John, time and time again in 2023, supporters like you were there for children in their moment of need. As a token of gratitude, we’re sharing a series of impact reports this week so you can see the incredible difference you made for children around the world in 2023.
On Feb. 6, 2023, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria. It was the strongest earthquake to hit the region in 100 years and displaced millions of families, including many who had already been displaced by the ongoing war in Syria.
Supporters like you responded to this crisis with a massive outpouring of generosity, helping our teams provide:

Together, we reached over 580,000 people affected by this disaster in the six months following the earthquake. Because of your generosity, our teams still remain in affected communities, working to meet children’s long-term needs and provide everything they need to fully recover and have a successful future.
Of course, this is just one example of how your support can make a life-changing difference for children in over 100 countries around the world. In addition to emergency response efforts, you can help provide vaccines and medical care, nutritious food and clean water, and educational assistance to help children overcome unimaginable hardships and achieve their dreams.
