Hello to my friends, family, and supporters!

In 2022, we fought a tough, determined campaign for the (at the time) brand-new 6th District. Together we took in over 38% of the vote in an area that was purposefully gerrymandered for Democrats to lose. And, friends, that number turned out to be enough for them to do it again! For the third cycle in a row, we are in a different congressional district.

After my congressional run, I thought long and hard about how I could best serve my community and my congressional district. This decision took some time to come to as Atlanta based GOP politicians worked to dilute my vote and decide that our voices don’t matter. That our votes don’t matter.

I am here to say that our voices do matter! I am officially entering the ring and launching our campaign for Georgia’s newly drawn 7th District to show that we matter! In 2022, I was both humbled and honored to be your Democratic Nominee for the United States House of Representatives. It is my sincere hope and utmost goal to earn your trust and support for a second time.

There is a lot of work to do, and I will need your help again in 2024. From updating the website to reflect the new district all the way through to putting together a team of volunteers ([link removed]) to begin the door-to-door canvassing to educate folks on the new boundaries for 2024 and how their vote can help. I need you to introduce me to your friends. Let me know about opportunities to speak to your civic organizations, HOAs, book clubs. Reach out if you have a talent to share ([link removed]) . Do not worry if you don’t know what you can do to help – I’ve got a list!

In addition to boots on the ground, I will need your dollars. Please, give what you can to send Bob Christian to Congress ([link removed]) in November. Consider becoming a recurring donor today. Every dollar helps to engage directly with local voters to get them to the polls in support of our vision for a better 7th District.

On the national level the GOP is working non-stop to implement draconian laws across the country. Congressional Republicans, including our own representative, have floated these ideas:
* A national abortion ban, and bans on birth control – both preventative and “day-after” options
* Dismantling Obamacare despite having no alternative plan
* Elimination of the Department of Education to be replaced by “appropriate” patriotic lessons
* Making all employees of the Office of Personnel Management presidential appointees essentially returning to the spoils system of the early 1800’s

Here in Georgia, we have watched the Republican Party become a mirror of the national party:
* Passing legislation that strips away the right of self-autonomy from women
* Installing work-requirements to access basic healthcare despite evidence such requirements consistently do not produce desired results
* Relaxing firearms access and carry laws despite the flood of preventable firearms death that are rising across the state

If you, like me, believe that none of these solutions are good for us or our country, then there is only one thing we can do to stop them. Send more Democrats to Congress! We will continue to organize. We will continue to hold our leaders accountable. We can surprise everyone again and continue to build our movement to take this seat, but only with your help ([link removed]) . Contribute today and let’s show them all that our voices will be heard!
