John,
TL;DR: If you care about fighting Big Tech, the monopolistic power of corporations, censorship, and/or believe that the Internet should be affordable and accessible to everyone, please submit your comment to the FCC to restore net neutrality by January 17th.
Take Action
Here’s the deal. We’re just a few days away from the next critical deadline in the fight to restore net neutrality. Our coalition’s goal is to get 100,000 comments in support of the FCC’s plan by Wednesday, January 17.
Telecom giants like Verizon, AT&T, and Comcast are pulling out all the stops to fight the restoration of net neutrality.1 The only way to combat their massive lobbying power is with a mass outpouring of support from folks like you.
Net neutrality protections will prevent companies like Verizon and Comcast from abusing their gatekeeper power, blocking or slowing down websites, or charging unfair fees to use your favorite apps. Simply put, it’ll stop Big Telecom from teaming up with Big Tech to screw us more than they already do. Net neutrality would also help to ensure greater access to high-speed internet for rural communities and communities of color.2
Net neutrality remains hugely popular across the country. Our coalition at Battle for the Net has helped drive 80,000 pro-net neutrality comments to the FCC and Congress. But we’re pushing hard to make sure we get comments from more than 100,000 people before the deadline next Wednesday.
Will you join us? We’ve made it easy to participate:
Step 1 ➡️ Go to BattlefortheNet.com to file a pro-net neutrality comment with the FCC and Congress. It takes less than a minute!
Step 2 ➡️ Share our graphics on your socials to get the word out
Step 3 ➡️ Use our Creators Toolkit to make content about net neutrality, and tag us so we can feature you
Step 4 ➡️ Have any other ideas? Reply to this email to get in touch.
Let’s take a major step to secure an internet that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.
Together,
Hally at ❤️ Fight
