Last night, the GOP hosted two simultaneous events for its presidential hopefuls: Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis on CNN, while Trump once again skipped the debate and opted for a friendly venue of Fox News.

We hope you were spared from watching both events, but here’s the takeaway: each candidate poses a threat to our democracy.

We don’t need to tell you why Trump is dangerous - his actions pre and post Jan. 6 have made that perfectly clear.

But as for Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis? They’ve chosen to align themselves with Trump's rhetoric, perpetuating a divisive political agenda that undermines our democracy.

Nikki Haley can pretend to be a moderate all she wants, but here’s the truth: she’s cozied up with election deniers and promised to to support Donald Trump if he's the 2024 nominee.

Ron DeSantis has downplayed the Jan. 6 insurrection, calling it a “protest” and not an insurrection. He too has promised to endorse Trump if he’s the nominee.

Whether it’s a Trump presidency, a Haley presidency, or a DeSeantis presidency, the common thread remains a willingness to disregard our democracy.
