john,
Last night, top Republican presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis gathered in Iowa for the first debate of 2024.
While Donald Trump remained a no-show, choosing to host a town hall instead, it didn't stop his challengers from embracing his ideas, values, and the pervasive lies he continues to push, showing once again that the Republican party is beholden to Trump and his MAGA supporters.
Here are just some of the many chaotic things that happened last night:
• Nikki Haley proposed raising the age of retirement while cutting benefits.
• Ron DeSantis proposed a flat tax that would force millions of working-class Americans to subsidize taxes for the rich and ultra-wealthy.
• While holding a separate town hall, Trump said he was “proud” to have contributed to the end of Roe v. Wade.
To stop the GOP's radical agenda and their attacks on our liberty and democracy, it won't be enough to hold the White House. We'll need to retake the House majority in 2024 – and we can't do that without re-electing Democrats in swing districts like Kim.
Can you rush a donation of $5 or whatever you can to ensure Kim has the resources to defend WA-08 and retake the House majority in November?
