John,

The least surprising news you've likely seen lately is that Lauren Boebert and her ex-husband were involved in a domestic dispute and physical altercation in a restaurant/bar in Silt, Colorado—a town 60 miles northwest of Aspen.

Initial reports stated that Lauren may have assaulted her ex-husband, Jayson; Jayson recanted this story, and was recently booked into jail in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on charges of assault, harassment, prohibited use of weapons, obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of a police officer, according to USA TODAY.

This is of course part and parcel of the chaos that follows Lauren Boebert. But the more relevant political factor here is not necessarily the dispute and police reports—it's that Boebert isn't even on the ground yet in the new congressional district she intends to run in, and is still conducting her personal affairs and residing in her old district, over 300 miles away.

It's not totally clear how Boebert plans to persuade a brand new electorate that she is the best person to represent them.

But one thing she doesn't want them to think about is this: Boebert is doing this for political expediency. She has no ties to the 4th District and has less than 5 months to build a campaign presence to win a contested, crowded primary.

Boebert cannot be allowed to spin a favorable narrative around her carpetbagging.

We are producing direct ads to CD4 primary voters—including Independents and Unaffiliated voters—to keep Boebert's outsider status front and center. If you can pitch in a donation of any amount to this work, our ads will go live ASAP to hasten Boebert's political demise:
