John, I'm so excited to announce that we've endorsed Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) for reelection this cycle.
Lucy McBath is a lot of things: the daughter of civil rights activists, a working parent, a two-time cancer survivor, and, after tragically losing her son Jordan to gun violence in 2012, a tireless advocate for gun safety, community activism, and justice.

Because of her activism, Lucy has been targeted relentlessly by state and national Republicans. Just weeks ago, midway through the election cycle, Rep. McBath was forced to switch districts because the GOP-led Georgia legislature decimated her current district through redistricting.
"I refuse to allow an extremist few Republicans to decide when my work in Congress is finished,"Â Lucy said in a statement -- and we at EMILYs List couldn't agree more.
We're with Lucy every step of the way, and we believe she has what it takes to win -- despite Republican efforts to undemocratically oust her from the House.
