I’m writing because I want you to split $7 or whatever you can (or more than you can) between Fight for Reform and my friend Josh Riley to help him win one of the most important races in the country in 2024. » [link removed]
Josh is running for Congress in New York’s 19th District, a key district to taking back the House. Here’s why I support Josh — and why you should too!
Josh knows policy issues backward and forward. Together Josh and I did good stuff when he was my counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee – good stuff like protecting victims of domestic violence.
In the Violence Against Women Act, Josh and I wrote a provision that protected survivors of domestic violence from homelessness. And Josh and I got that protection through a divided Senate, a Republican House, and signed into law.
Republicans lie and say Josh was bad on crime, but here’s the truth. Josh and I advanced legislation that funded the police! Providing bullet-proof vests for local and state police. And funding crisis intervention training to teach police officers how to de-escalate situations.
Together in the Senate, we also made a lot of Republican witnesses look very bad at hearings when we cross-examined them.
Josh really, really cares about all the stuff I care about. And he is the hardest worker I know.
And finally, NY-19 is considered a tossup and one of the most competitive in the nation.
So, what do you say? Will you join me by splitting a contribution between Fight for Reform and Josh’s campaign today? » [link removed]
