John,
In her first year as governor, Tina stood by her promise to visit all 36 counties in Oregon. She connected with folks across the state to understand local concerns and how she can better partner with communities to solve problems together.
We’re excited to share a part of her journey. Here are some reflections from the One Oregon Listening Tour!
Housing and Homelessness in Oregon: Tina has made it a priority to address the housing crisis in Oregon and is determined to make sure communities have more housing in the coming year and beyond.
In John Day, Tina examines plans to build new homes using 3D printing manufacturing technology.
Mental Health and Addiction Services: Tina spent time with community leaders to learn about barriers to accessing mental health care and addiction services throughout the state.
In Prairie City, the Governor signed the AgriStress Hotline bill that helps local farmers, fishermen, and ranchers talk about their mental health concerns.
Education and Childcare: Tina's committed to making sure every family in Oregon has access to affordable childcare and quality education.
In Woodburn, Tina holds a roundtable with educators to learn more about their summer programs and discussing how to implement them statewide.
Tina’s big takeaway is this: Oregonians all want the same things. They care about access to mental health and addiction resources, housing, and good schools. Now, it’s time to work together and make our state a better place for everyone to succeed.
As always, thank you, John. Tina continues to work hard to make progress on the issues we all care about, and she’s grateful to know she has your support.
