In this role, you will serve as the lead fiscal technical expert for Accounts Receivable, overseeing various financial areas and systems related to the management of revenue and accounts receivable across multiple fund types. Operating independently at the specialist level, you will adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), State Administrative & Accounting Manual (SAAM), and Department of Enterprise Services? procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include processing, monitoring, and analyzing all accounting aspects of Accounts Receivable, with a focus on General Ledger Reconciliations and Cash Receipts. Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and State of Washington fiscal policies, you will review your own work and that of other Fiscal Analysts and Technicians to guarantee accuracy and meet critical deadlines. Collaboration with fiscal staff, training, and knowledge sharing are integral aspects of this role, emphasizing teamwork. As assigned by the supervisor or management, you will undertake special projects, conducting fiscal research and analysis as needed. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will interact with DES Finance Division staff, managers, personnel from small agencies, and external stakeholders, demonstrating effective communication and teamwork in a dynamic work environment.??
