Hi John,
I spent 25 years in the U.S. Army and served as a psychiatrist on deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
On my first deployment to Iraq, I traveled to combat zones to treat soldiers suffering from combat and post-traumatic stress. I received the Bronze Star Medal for leading that mission and the Combat Action Badge for direct combat engagement. I have spent much of my medical career at Walter Reed caring for service members injured in service to our country.
So it’s especially disheartening to see Republicans in Congress threatening to withhold aid for Ukraine to get their way on immigration. Using the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and innocent civilians as a political tool is disgraceful.
This is one of the most defining geopolitical conflicts of our time with lasting consequences, not just for the region but the world, and Republicans are reducing it to a political bargaining chip.
Now more than ever we need leaders in Washington who understand the geopolitical complexities of our time and have the experience to lead. That’s why I’m running for Congress.
Can you support my campaign with a donation of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can spare to help ensure we have veteran leaders in Congress who will ensure the U.S. serves as a force for good on the global stage?
