Friend,
Every lawmaker in Pennsylvania needs to see Jeani’s story. In 2012, she came home to the worst thing any parent can imagine: her 17-year-old son, Kareem, soaked in his own blood and lying dead in his bed.
He was shot by local gang members with a firearm that was trafficked into Allentown by a couple in the suburbs. The couple had trafficked dozens of firearms already. They evaded justice by telling the police that the gun had just gone missing.
A simple law requiring lost and stolen gun reporting could have prevented this tragedy.
In the 12 decade since, Jeani has shared this story at hearings, rallies and community meetings. And she is still waiting. Tell your legislator they must hear her story. [[link removed]]

In Jeani’s own words:
“A gun not reported stolen or lost increases the chances that the weapon will be used in a violent crime. How do we stand by and allow this to continue? How many more lives do we lose? How many more families do we lose in my community and yours before we act on this?"
Last year, a bill that would close this gun trafficking loophole failed by a single vote. With your help, we’re going to try again. And I know that stories like Jeani’s can make the difference.
Friend – Will you ask your lawmakers to watch it? [[link removed]]
Sincerely,
Adam Garber,
