This week, Congress returned to Washington from its holiday recess with another potential government shutdown looming in just a few days. Despite a bipartisan deal negotiated by House and Senate leaders to keep the government open, the same MAGA extremists who thrust the House into chaos last year are determined to try to grind our government to a halt…again.
Team, this is no way to run our country. We can’t let the most extreme members of Congress force us to live shutdown threat to shutdown threat. It’s past time we put politics aside and pass a responsible budget that puts the needs of the American people first.
