The new year marks new beginnings. For you…for me…and for Prosperity Now. I'm just over a week into my new role, and for more than 20 years, I've worked in housing and financial services, helping underserved communities thrive. Now, I'm thrilled to roll up my sleeves and get to work with you in building an economy that works for all of us.

As someone who cares deeply about helping people and families thrive, I’m committed to ensuring our economic system works for all of us. And, what many people don’t realize is the system is working as designed, it simply wasn’t designed for everyone to prosper.

This reality isn't news to you, and I know you're part of a committed community willing to partner with us to radically transform this deeply flawed system.

At Prosperity Now, we share your passion. For 45 years, we've been on the frontlines, fighting for a more just economy where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. And now, as I step into my role as president & CEO, I'm asking for your help to write the next chapter of our story.

We’ve just reached 45 years of dedication in the fight to change the reality of economic injustice in America. And, John, we’re asking YOU to join us for the next 45 years.

Prosperity Now launched during a time when few were willing to openly and honestly speak about racial economic injustice. Forty-five years later, our programs and policy advocacy have helped millions of American families — especially people of color — write their economic futures and create generational wealth.

But with 50 million people in our country working hard — many working 2 to 3 jobs — and still unable to make ends meet, it’s clear we have a lot more work left to do.

With an economy this broken, we can’t afford timid steps toward change. We need bold action, and we need it now.

As we look ahead toward another 45 years, Prosperity Now remains laser-focused and ready to ensure all households, families, and communities have the economic resources they need to thrive now and for future generations. I am honored to join the talented and dedicated team at Prosperity Now. Together, we will leverage our collective expertise and passion to create a more just and prosperous future for all.
