Howdy John,
You know, Colorado Republicans like to stretch the truth. They claim that they are being ‘silenced’ by Democrats who hold the majority in the legislature:

But we did a little bit of research and found these blatantly political claims to be totally false.

It turns out that Republicans – despite their historically small minority, holding only 19 of 65 seats in the House, or 29.2% – used DC-style obstruction tactics to take up nearly 60% of the legislative discussion time on the floor during the 2023 session.
That adds up to nearly 130 hours or more than 5 days of Republicans taking up floor time obstructing progress and putting their MAGA politics before people.
Instead of spending their time complaining about being ‘silenced,’ or spewing hateful tropes, Republicans could collaborate to deliver bipartisan solutions for their constituents – like the legislation Democrats passed last year to end the gun violence epidemic, protect reproductive rights and gender-affirming care, and make Colorado more affordable.
That’s why we’re working to re-elect Democrats up and down the ballot and protect our majorities in 2024. John, if you're with us, chip in a few bucks today >> [[link removed]]
