After beating back right-wing extremists in the 2023 election, PCCC-endorsed school board candidate Karl Frisch was sworn in for his second term in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Putting the bold in bold progressive, he took the oath of office on a stack of banned, LGBTQ-themed books.

When Frisch was a first-time candidate, he told The American Prospect, "When somebody decides to run for office, it is an enormous undertaking. PCCC's candidate training really helped flesh out what to do, and how to run an effective campaign that gets my message in front of the voters I need to win."

ABC News reports the PCCC is leading the charge to fight back against right-wing extremism on school boards: "The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) launched the 'Save Our School Boards' campaign to boost more than 200 aligned school board candidates in the upcoming cycle." These school board candidates desperately need support.

Karl Frisch is one of four openly LGBTQ+ school board members in Virginia -- and he won a seat in the formerly bright-red Fairfax County. He’s a leader against extremist Governor Youngkin’s attacks on students, parents, and progress. We’re working to elect hundreds of Karl Frisches across the country.

This year, 65% of PCCC-endorsed school board candidates won their races in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, Idaho, New Jersey, Oregon, and New Mexico -- beating back many extremists.

Our work is even bigger in 2024.

If turning back the tide of right-wing extremism on school boards in 2024 is important to you, please donate what you can to these school board races today.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
