January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
A hidden epidemic quietly devastates the hopes and dreams of women, men and children across the globe today and every day. Particularly in the developing world, millions find themselves forced into a world where their bodies are sold for labor and sexual exploitation for profit. These individuals are victims of human trafficking, trapped in modern day slavery.
Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we come together, raise awareness, educate ourselves and our communities, and take decisive action to combat this grave issue that impacts countless lives worldwide. We challenge you to start a conversation with a friend this month about trafficking, and the impact you are making alongside the Human Trafficking Institute.
All month long, we’ll put out easy-to-share content on our social media channels to make it easy for you to start conversations about this critical topic. Be sure you’re following us and spreading awareness to your followers.
