Hello Friend,
As I write this, monkeys are shivering in cold, barren cages in roadside zoos. Desperately sick guinea pigs and hamsters are languishing in mills waiting to be shipped to stores like PetSmart and Petco (where they may die).
A federal law called the Animal Welfare Act is supposed to prevent this kind of cruelty. But, for decades, the US Department of Agriculture has failed to enforce even its most basic protections.
The Better CARE for Animals Act would allow the Department of Justice to step in and take action against the worst animal abusers and remove animals from horrific situations.
Will you please ask your US Senators and Representative to cosponsor this critical animal protection bill?
