State Chair's Corner

Dear Members and Supporters of the Hawaii Republican Party,

As we navigate through these challenging times, it is essential to reflect on the vision and principles that our founding forefathers instilled at the very heart of our nation. The United States of America was founded on the ideals of freedom, god-given rights, and the rule of law, encapsulated within the framework of a republic.

A republic, by its very nature, is a form of government in which the country is considered a "public matter", and not the private concern or property of the rulers. The essence of this idea lies in the fact that the people, the grassroots,  hold the power and elect representatives to govern on their behalf. This concept was revolutionary at the time of our founding forefathers, who fought diligently to establish a nation free from tyranny and oppression. We need to stand united to stop the path of that direction and a one party rule.

Our forefathers,  like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, understood that for a republic to thrive, it must be rooted in the principles of liberty, justice, and equality. They envisioned a nation where every individual's rights are respected and protected, and where the government is accountable to its people.

As we uphold these values, it is our duty as members of the Hawaii Republican Party to ensure that the principles of our republic remain steadfast. We must strive to preserve the integrity of our democratic processes, respect the rule of law, and champion the rights of every individual, and protect our values of faith, family, and freedom.

Let us remember that our republic is more than just a form of government, it is a symbol of our commitment to freedom and justice for all. As we move forward, let us honor the legacy of our founding forefathers by continuing to work towards a more perfect union.

Together, we can keep the spirit of our republic alive for generations to come.

Sincerely,

Tamara McKay
State Chair, Hawaii Republican Party
