It may be a new year, but California continues to face a housing crisis of
epic proportions. Rob is doing his part to keep up the fight for
affordable, accessible housing for all across our state: this week, he
announced a settlement to protect renters from being taken advantage of by
a corporate landlord.
Rob held Invitation Homes accountable for violating the California Tenant
Protection Act (TPA) and California’s price-gouging law by unlawfully
increasing rent on nearly 2,000 rental homes. California has laws on the
books to ensure tenants are protected from sudden, large rent increases,
and Rob is making sure all landlords follow them.
As our AG, Rob is doing everything in his power to make California a state
where anyone and everyone can afford to live safe, happy lives.
