John,
A week into the New Year, and there’s already so much important work underway – like our new investigation into the Adams Administration’s 60-day shelter limit policy, which was just announced yesterday.
In 2024, I intend to build off everything we’ve accomplished in 2023. As City Comptroller, I’m so proud of what we accomplished last year, all the while prioritizing equity, accountability, and the kind of management we need to make New York City work for all New Yorkers.
Just some of the highlights :-)
We began a real-time investigation into the City’s $432 million no-bid contract with DocGo, a medical services staffing company without any evident experience providing shelter or services to migrants.
We launched a lawsuit against Fox Corporation on behalf of New York City’s public pension funds. Fox News's rampant and willful disregard for the truth has put its shareholders – including nearly 800,000 current and retired City employees – on the hook to cover more than three-quarters-of-a-billion-dollars in needless defamation settlements.
And we ensured that New York City retirees will have financial security. By declining to register the City's Medicare Advantage contract, we helped prevent our seniors from being forced onto inferior health plans.
Thank you so much for your support,
Brad
P.S. Remember, all contributions up to $250 from New York City residents are matched 8 to 1 by New York City’s campaign finance matching program. Please consider making a donation of any amount today.
