The North Kitsap Recovery Resource Center [ [link removed] ] and Kitsap Public Health District [ [link removed] ] will offer an opioid overdose awareness training from 6-7 p.m., Feb. 1 at Poulsbo City Hall (200 Moe St NE, Poulsbo).
Registration is encouraged but not required. Click here to RSVP [ [link removed] ].
Topics will include overdose risk factors, signs of an overdose, how to respond to an overdose, and common myths and misunderstandings about fentanyl.
The training will cover how to give naloxone [ [link removed] ](Narcan), an easy-to-use medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. Naloxone will be provided to attendees as supplies allow.
