Ceasefire in Gaza
Call on Biden and Congress to Support a
Ceasefire! As a climate
movement, we have a responsibility to stand up to help end cycles of violence
wherever we see them. As we continue to grieve the loss of Israeli civilian
lives in the October 7th attack by Hamas, we must unequivocally call for a
ceasefire and condemn the Israeli government for withholding water and power,
displacing over 1.9 million people, and murdering over 22,000 Palestinians.
This moment follows decades of the Israeli government’s colonization of
Palestine. Colonization is inherently violent, and it’s one of the same
systemic forces that has contributed to the climate injustices facing our
world. Climate justice can only be achieved if all people’s human rights are
upheld. Please join us and Jewish Voice for Peace in calling on President Biden to demand and facilitate an
immediate ceasefire and use / share this toolkit to contact Congress in support of
a ceasefire.

| But the call-to-action doesn’t stop there. We’re counting on you to apply these skills and take a stand on what is a top priority for the environmental justice and climate movement—stopping new LNG export facilities. Join in with our frontline partners who are headed to Washington D.C. to persuade the Department of Energy and drive home just how serious this crisis is. This will be a highly-civil civil disobedience action on February 6, 7, and 8, where we will peacefully block the entrance to the department. Join the #STOPLNG Sit-In!
If you can’t make it to D.C., you can still help with this important work to stop new LNG exports by signing the petition to President Biden and Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. You can also acquire skills to engage in future civil disobedience actions by attending one of our upcoming virtual training sessions.

Tacoma Mega-Warehouse Campaign
Please
sign this petition to Bridge Industrial urging them to cancel plans for their
South Tacoma Mega Warehouse! This 2.5 million square foot warehouse complex
could mean up to 12,000 additional vehicle trips per day through residential
streets, in an area already heavily impacted by pollution. This formerly
redlined neighborhood has the highest concentration of Black, Hispanic &
Mixed Race residents in the City. This community should not be burdened by the
health & safety impacts of that much traffic or the additional noise &
light pollution. This project would also pave 125 acres of some of the last
remaining greenspace in the area. Currently containing wetlands, critical
wildlife habitat & a recharge area for an aquifer that provides important backup
water to the City during droughts. Learn more at bit.ly/tacomawarehouse

Support Homegrown Workers Strike Fund
Last fall, workers from two
Homegrown stores went on strike to protest the unfair termination of union leader
Sydney Lankford. Sydney was fired after speaking up
at a union delegation.
Your financial support will help
these workers keep up their courageous fight to #BringSydBack and is a great
show of solidarity with the union we worked with extensively
during the Electrify Seattle campaign.
