No Labels just secured the ballot in Maine, the 13th state where our movement has obtained ballot access for the 2024 election. Media outlets are reporting that a new political action committee called New Leaders 2024 has been created to ultimately support a Unity presidential ticket.
Hi John,
No Labels has been working for two years to secure ballot access for a simple reason: Americans want a better choice in 2024, and they have a constitutional right to petition for that choice on their voting ballot.
On this day – the anniversary of the publication of the original Common Sense on Jan. 10, 1776, by Thomas Paine – we are pleased to announce a major development. No Labels just secured the ballot in Maine, the 13th state where our movement has obtained ballot access for the 2024 election.
Each day, No Labels has hundreds of people gathering signatures in states nationwide, and the response from voters has been electric. Over one million Americans have signed to get No Labels on the ballot in 2024, and we are well on our way to ensuring a Unity presidential ticket will be able to appear on the ballot in all 50 states.
Thanks to the 2010 Unity08 vs. Federal Election Commission court decision, nonprofits like No Labels have the legal right to get ballot access, a right that is every bit as important as the right to vote. But, as we have repeatedly said, No Labels will not run campaigns or advocate on behalf of candidates. That’s why some other news that was reported today is significant.
The New York Times ([link removed] ) and Bloomberg ([link removed] ) are reporting that a new political action committee called New Leaders 2024 has been created to ultimately support a Unity presidential ticket. Although this PAC is an entirely different organization from No Labels, it is gratifying to see other groups emerge that could help this ticket win.
Finally, as No Labels continues our exclusive focus on our longstanding mission and our efforts to get ballot access across the country, we would like to wish former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan well as he leaves No Labels as national cochair. He has dedicated years to our mission, and he has been a valued friend and advisor. He will, of course, continue to be a fellow traveler on this journey.
We hope you’ll stay tuned, and, in the meantime, please keep spreading the word about the absolutely essential work of No Labels.
To success,
Do you think that Americans have a right to a third choice for president? ([link removed] )
