With remote working, telemedicine, and online learning, so many facets of Americans’ day-to-day lives are conducted online.
Last month, I was proud to introduce the Broadening Online Opportunities through Simple Technologies (BOOST) Act, a piece of bipartisan legislation to help make faster internet more affordable for families in rural communities by providing a tax credit for people purchasing equipment to boost their internet speeds.
But representing constituents in rural communities across Middle and Southwest Georgia, I know there’s more we can and must do to make sure everyone has a fair shot. We need to build up our rural broadband infrastructure so that Americans can have access to good opportunities, jobs, and services — no matter where they live.
Will you join me by calling on my colleagues in Congress to join us in furthering broadband access in rural communities?
I’m heartened that there’s bipartisan consensus that we need to make sure rural America can access the same opportunities as others, and I’m eager to continue working to expand rural broadband. Thanks for standing with me, John.
