Over the past several days, we have received many questions from members of the state committee, county chairs and caucus organizers, and the press regarding our plans for the upcoming caucus and convention process.
On Monday the CDC issued guidance that there should be no gatherings of groups of 50 or more people for the next 8 weeks. President Trump has recommended that people avoid groups of 10 or more. This makes the holding of county caucuses on April 4 unrealistic.
On Monday evening, the Executive Committee of the Republican State Committee unanimously voted to approve a plan to implement new procedures for the election of delegates and alternates to the Congressional District and State Conventions. The RNC has also approved these changes.
The Missouri Republican Party’s main priority is protecting the health and well-being of Missourians. We are asking all of our organizations, candidates, committees, and other supporters to postpone gatherings until at least June.
All MRP employees are working remotely. The best way to contact us is via email, [email protected].
We will continue to make updates to our website, as well as our Facebook page in the coming days and weeks. Please check frequently and share them with others.
