Hi John, it's Ben.
As Finance Director for Team Emily Busch, a large part of my job is centered around making sure Emily's campaign has the resources it needs to flip Michigan's 10th District.
|
John, our team has big plans in 2024, but it all comes down to being able to share Emily's story with as many voters as possible.
After a mass shooting at her son's school stole the lives of four students, and after John James did nothing to address the gun violence epidemic affecting our community, Emily decided she could be the voice we needed in Congress.
And since she launched her campaign last year, grassroots support has been key to connecting with voters, making sure they're aware of the stakes in this race, and securing essential campaign materials like yard signs and literature.
But I want to be as transparent as I can be, John – these aren't one-time expenses, which means we're relying on more than one-time donations to maximize our efforts from now to Election Day.
It's a long way to the primaries in August, that's why your early and sustained support means so much. Please, will you establish your recurring contribution and become a Digital Monthly Donor today?

Thank you,
Ben Finance Director, Team Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.
The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.
Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.
Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.
She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
