As we embark on 2024, we're excited to usher in not just a new year but also a new phase in the journey toward higher education. With the beginning of the year comes the opening of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the upcoming academic year. This year, the FAFSA process brings some notable changes , while it’s designed to enhance accessibility and simplify the application process for students seeking financial aid, it also poses major challenges for low-income students such as ours.

Understanding the importance of staying ahead of these changes, Fulfillment Fund is dedicated to ensuring that our students are well-prepared to navigate the evolving landscape of financial aid. To kick off the New Year/New FAFSA season, we are hosting two financial aid workshops, providing students with valuable insights into the new system and equipping them with the knowledge they need to complete the FAFSA application successfully. Additionally, our Fulfillment Fund College Counselors will be on-site at high schools to offer personalized guidance , ensuring that every student receives the support they need to access the financial resources essential for pursuing their higher education dreams.

As we embrace the opportunities and challenges that the new FAFSA system brings, Fulfillment Fund remains steadfast in our commitment to empowering students on their educational journey. Together, let's make 2024 a year of achievement, growth, and endless possibilities.

Financial Aid Day is Almost Here


Our team and Fulfillment Fund volunteers are returning to the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools campus for Financial Aid Workshops. FAFSA is a crucial lifeline for first-generation, low-income students struggling to pay for college. On January 20th, the workshop will be open to all our students, including those already in college, to help them navigate the new FAFSA. A second session will take place in February.

All season, the Los Angeles Lakers and Comerica Bank will honor California-based nonprofit organizations as Comerica Bank Honorary Community Partners. We’re thrilled to be selected and recognized during a series of 10 Lakers home games between January 11 and February 23, 2024. Increased Impact through Partnerships

Earlier this month, the College Success Advisors presented a workshop on networking and sharing your professional journey at the College to Career Fair, hosted by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles.
