How the State Made Kids Fat ([link removed])
In the newest episode of The Cost of the Progressives, we focus on one of the most “successful” government campaigns in recent history, the food pyramid. The iconic government diagram promoted a carbohydrate-heavy diet and demonized all fats. It influenced shaped how parents across America shopped, what kids were served, and how the food industry developed and marketed its products. As a result of its guidance, obesity rates in America skyrocketed.
In this episode, we explore the history of this propaganda campaign and the damage done by the state's chosen “experts.”
