We're excited to officially announce our new Global Events Calendar, which is designed as a hub for finding and posting pro-peace, anti-war events (whether in-person or online) happening anywhere around the world! Over the past several months, we've been working to implement a new calendar system that makes it easy to post and find events. Now we're reaching out to invite you to use it —​ and share with your networks to encourage individuals and organizations around the world to use the calendar. 

Finding an Event: The calendar offers many options to sort through events. Use the search bar at the top of the calendar to search by keyword. Use the Filters to find events by category, location, virtual or in-person, and much more. Toggle between List view, Map view, Month view, and more to help sort events.

Submitting an Event: Click "Submit Your Event" on the calendar to get to the event submission form. Events can be submitted by any individual or organization around the world. Events must be related to issues of war and peace, and can also be intersectional events that tie into other issues, such as war's environmental impact, the economic cost of war, the connection between war and racism, etc. On the Submit an Event form, you can use categories to indicate the type of event (rally, webinar, meeting, film, etc) and the themes (Palestinian solidarity, the environmental impact of war, divestment, peace education, and many, many more). If you're working with a WBW chapter, choose your chapter category so that your event shows up on your chapter's webpage!

The calendar widget is also embeddable, so you can put it on any website.

Movement-building is a guiding principle of our work. As a decentralized network with a global staff team and extensive experience with digital tools, we serve as a hub for pro-peace, anti-war digital organizing support, to amplify the work of partners around the globe. That's why we're covering the technology costs to make this calendar freely available to individuals and organizations around the world.
