Dear John, 

Did you know that not one single river in London is rated "good" under EU pollution standards?

I discovered that five of our rivers are rated "poor" with three being "bad". The rest are only "moderate". This is a disgrace.

We all knew London’s rivers were in a dire state, but to find out we have not a single healthy river in our capital city, and that the only river that was previously healthy has now been downgraded, is truly shocking.

Water companies need to take responsibility for the fact that over the last few decades, they have prioritised profit and massive CEO bonuses over our environment.

Please sign our petition to add your name to my call for action to clean up our rivers.

P.S. Last year alone 14.3 billion litres of sewage was discharged into the River Thames. Many people still use the waterways for leisure so please sign our petition to demand they stop pumping sewage in the Thames
