Friend,
This new year could bring a new era of internet freedom: We have our best chance in years to reinstate the Net Neutrality rules and restore the FCC’s Title II authority — which will give it the power to stop ISP abuses. But we have to act fast: There’s JUST ONE WEEK LEFT in the public-comment phase of the FCC’s rulemaking process.
I’ve been doing some thinking about what life could look like if we win back Title II and Net Neutrality:
---------------
The Internet in 2024
Out
- Massive, inexcusable data breaches where Comcast doesn’t bother to immediately notify impacted customers
- Unreliable promises from companies with the lowest possible consumer-ratings scores
- Privacy violations, billing fraud, hidden fees, general shadiness
- Online discrimination
- Listening to Ted Cruz lie about what Title II actually means
In
- A fully functional FCC
- Affordable, unimpeded high-speed internet access for all
- Networks that are resilient to climate disasters
- Durable federal protections that treat the internet like the essential utility that it is
- Support for small businesses that sell goods & services online
- Showing AT∓T that people like you are stronger than their conniving lobbyists: Sign our Net Neutrality petition today!

We’ve been fighting for a free and open internet together since 2006 — I truly believe that victory is on the horizon in 2024, but we’re going to have to sprint to the finish line. In these last few days before the FCC closes the public-comment period, will you join me in urging the agency to pass a swift reinstatement of Net Neutrality and Title II?
