Hi John!

I'm Erin Heers-McArdle and I am proud to introduce myself to you as the new Engagement Director for the School Board Integrity Project.

In my 2023 campaign for re-election to the Anoka-Hennepin School Board, the support I received from the School Board Integrity Project was invaluable.

Although I wasn't re-elected, I knew immediately upon seeing the election results that my next step would be to help the School Board Integrity Project in any way that I could to support candidates running to represent their communities on their school boards.

The team I am joining at SBIP has extensive knowledge and experience with campaigns, and the work to be done requires support of all kinds to help elect school board members who will lead with honesty and integrity.

I understand firsthand how important it is to know that the work is supported and assisted by people who work hard to uphold the same values that guide candidates to run for office in the first place. When trusted friends and neighbors like you work together for the betterment of our local communities, the focus remains where it should be … local.

That's why I am asking you to help support our work of recruiting and training candidates running for school board positions in nearly 300 districts across the state this fall. Our team is already deep in the planning process for 2024, but what we can accomplish will be driven by your generosity.

I know we are all concerned and often complain about how public education is going in our communities. A wise teacher once told me, "You aren't allowed to complain about a problem if you aren't willing to be part of the solution."

Your support makes all the difference in the world when it comes to ensuring we have leaders on our school boards who will lead with integrity and put our students first. So, how are you going to be part of the solution?

In gratitude and solidarity,

Erin Heers-McArdle
