I’m back in Washington, and Senate Democrats are on a mission to secure more historic progress in 2024. Meanwhile in the House, MAGA Republicans are plotting more chaos and extremist obstruction.

It’s clear that the GOP’s intention is to obstruct our work as much as possible so they can try to defeat President Biden and take out Democrats’ Senate majority in November. The Republican Party is the party of the billionaire class — their top priority is piling on tax breaks for their richest donors. But we have big plans and we’re going to do everything we can to overcome the GOP blockade to grow the middle class, strengthen democracy, and lower costs for regular Americans. Democrats are going to show up every day to push through the GOP’s political games and pass meaningful legislation . Creating more opportunity for middle-class Rhode Islanders, implementing an enforceable code of ethics for the Supreme Court, supporting our allies in Ukraine, safeguarding American democracy, investing in green energy, and protecting reproductive freedom are some of my priorities this year.
