Friend,
Three years after the original complaint was filed, the corruption lawsuit against the National Rifle Association is finally headed to trial today. The NRA has gotten away with the mishandling of funds and abuse of authority for too long, and it’s time for justice to take its course.
The New York lawsuit alleges that former NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre abused his authority so the NRA could pay for personal trips and expensive gifts and that he corruptly gave consulting contracts to NRA insiders. These are just two prime examples of the rampant corruption happening within the NRA. And you know that there has been plenty of corruption in Congress thanks to the NRA.
The NRA is wildly corrupt, but we knew that already. This lawsuit is one in a long list of reasons why this organization should not have this amount of sway over American politics. Now more than ever, it’s important for corrupt politicians and organizations to be called out and held accountable.
