I recently wrote a piece in The Hill on the challenges of finding good quality, affordable health care – a topic I hear about everywhere I go in my district.
Across my district, access to health care in the rural parts of the Lehigh Valley is a recurring challenge. This is a huge issue for access to preventive care, an aspect that is critical to overall health and well-being.
That’s why I’m pushing to pass the bipartisan Fairness for Rural Teaching Hospitals Act. This would ensure that rural teaching hospitals are receiving higher and fairer funding for the work they do in training the next generation of rural physicians.
I know that ensuring our rural hospitals are properly funded is key to retaining and attracting physicians so that people in need can access good quality, affordable health care.
I’ve been fighting for affordable healthcare and lowering prescription drug prices since I got to Congress. Now, I’m facing a tough election this November, so will you chip in to keep me in this fight?
