[link removed] [[link removed]] CREW files ethics complaint against Rep. Mike GarciaJohn, we know you’ve heard a lot from us lately, and that’s because we’ve been busy! At CREW, the work doesn’t stop. We’re always fighting for accountability.
When we found out that Rep. Mike Garcia apparently violated the STOCK Act and other ethics rules, we took immediate action and called for an investigation. (never mind that that was the same week that we won at the Colorado Supreme Court and enforced Donald Trump’s disqualification from the ballot)
We’ll tell you more about what Rep. Garcia did to break the law, but first, we have to ask you to make a donation to help us hold corrupt leaders accountable → [[link removed]]

Rep. Garcia joined the Transportation Committee in 2020. At the time, the Committee was investigating Boeing’s 737 MAX aircraft, which had been grounded following crashes.
Apparently, Garcia also then owned tens of thousands of dollars of Boeing stock, which he did not disclose on his financial disclosure forms.
Five weeks before the release of the Committee’s scathing report on Boeing, Garcia sold between $15,000-$50,000 in Boeing stock. He did not disclose the sale until after he was reelected by a mere 333 votes.
John, that means Rep. Garcia kept his Boeing stock in the midst of the Transportation Committee’s investigation, sold it before negative information came out and then didn’t disclose that sale until after his election.
To this day, Rep. Garcia has not fully disclosed how much money he made from his secret Boeing investments, but we do know one thing: Rep. Garcia needs to be held accountable.
The public should be confident that members of Congress are acting in the people’s interest, not using their positions to enrich themselves or advance their own interests.
CREW is fighting to make sure that Rep. Garcia, and any politician who prioritizes profits over people, are held accountable when they break the law. Donate to CREW today to support our work → [[link removed]]
