Friend,

Today I get to kick off my second session of Congress. It’s a new year, a new
Speaker holding the gavel, but unfortunately a lot looks the same as last year.

The GOP has never wanted to solve the problems that are most effective for their
own campaigns. I’ve known this, I experienced this my first year, and some of
their colleagues across the aisle have even said so out loud.

But I’m not going to stop fighting for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District and
for what’s right, period. For this session, and with your support when Democrats
retake the House majority.

And unlike too many Congressional Republicans, I will always sincerely value the
feedback of my supporters and constituents. So I wanted to ask you,
friend: what issues do you want to see us fight for
first in this Congress?

With another shutdown looming, and a host of urgent issues that need our focus,
I want to hear from you about what we need to prioritize. Can you fill out our
