*Join us virtually for the January 2024 Environmental Quality Board meeting. At this meeting, the Board will hear a workplan update, a recap of the strategic plan, and the objectives for the February board meeting. The Board will also hear an overview of the 2024 Environment & Energy Report Card and will vote on approval. *Draft animal feedlot EAW*
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) welcomes your feedback on the draft animal feedlot environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) and guidance. Applicants for new or expanding feedlots in Minnesota use the worksheet to assess the project's possible impact on the environment and ways to avoid or minimize it. *Project description: *The City of North Branch proposes development within approximately 393 acres located south of 410th Street, east of Interstate 35, west of CSAH 30, and north of Aztec Trail in the north central portion of the city. The ultimate development scenario studied under the AUAR update allows for 286 acres of industrial; 40 acres of business; and 67 acres of residential (4 acres single family; 49 acres medium density; 14 acres high density) land uses. Of the 393 acres within the AUAR Study Area, 335 remain that have not yet been developed.

Fish kill reports
Minnesota Duty Officer reports pertaining to fish kills are summarized in the following table, in accordance with 103G.216, REPORTING FISH KILLS IN PUBLIC WATERS, Subd. 2 Reporting Requirement. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor. They represent the raw data/information provided by callers. For more information regarding fish kills in Minnesota see the Department of Natural Resources [ [link removed] ]. Call the Minnesota Duty Officer at 651‐649‐5451 or 800‐422‐0798 to report fish kills.
