John,
This is a longer email than normal, but we hope you’ll take a few minutes to read it.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has kicked into high gear. We not only successfully pressured Amazon to stop pandemic profiteering and price gouging on life-saving supplies, we’ve also organized a week-long webinar series to support our movement in these challenging times.
We already hosted two live conversations online with nurses and teachers, as well as experts on how to talk to kids about coronavirus – and we have more planned in the coming days.
Yesterday, Women’s March supporter Berta Gutierrez from Katy, TX wrote to us saying:
“I know this isn’t what this is set up for but please you need to put the full weight of your power to make Congress include in their financial bill aid directly to the people and not to financial institutions as they did the last time.”
We fully agree. We know that families – especially people with non-salaried, hourly work – are struggling tremendously already and are afraid of losing all of their income entirely.
We want to put the full power of our movement into fighting for a just and equitable response from our government that protects people, not giant corporations, but we need your help.
Can you chip in $5 or anything you can to support our coronavirus response so we can dramatically ramp up our pressure on this administration to do its job and organize more digital gatherings to share information?

If you remember, on March 1 in honor of Women’s History Month we set a $50,000 goal for the month to stay on track with our campaign plans leading up to the November 3rd election. Understandably, our fundraising has taken a dip recently so we’re no longer on track to reach this goal and fund all the programs we planned before.
We acknowledge that we’re not the only ones being impacted by the pandemic, but it would mean a lot to us if you could help us overcome these challenges if you’re able.
Your support will help us fight like hell to make sure that any bailout or stimulus goes directly to the people who need it most, not giant corporations.
It’s crucial to take care of ourselves and our communities first and foremost – but as much as we can, now is also a key opportunity to join together to fight for justice for workers and families who are suffering most at the hands of this pandemic.
We’re in this together.
